These terms govern your use of Lumara Links, a free URL shortening and QR code generation tool operated by Lumara at lumara.chat. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Free, no-account use

Lumara Links’ core shortening and QR generation tools are provided free of charge and do not require registration. We do not charge for the core tools, and we won’t introduce hidden restrictions designed to force a paid upgrade for functionality described as free.

Acceptable use

You may use Lumara Links to shorten links and generate QR codes for lawful personal, business, or organizational purposes. You’re responsible for the content you create and for complying with applicable law wherever you use the service.

Prohibited content and link misuse

You agree not to use Lumara Links to create links or QR codes that:

• Point to malware, phishing pages, or other malicious content
• Facilitate fraud, scams, or illegal activity
• Infringe someone else’s intellectual property rights
• Contain or link to child sexual abuse material, or content that exploits minors
• Are used for harassment, hate speech, or incitement to violence
• Disguise a link’s true destination for deceptive purposes (cloaking)

We reserve the right to disable any short link or generated content that violates these terms without prior notice.

Abuse and rate limiting

Because anonymous, no-account use is core to the product, we rely on technical safeguards — including rate limiting, request validation, and heuristic checks on submitted URLs — to deter automated abuse. Attempting to circumvent these safeguards (for example, scripted mass creation of links, or deliberately probing rate limits) is a violation of these terms.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime and reliability but don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure issues, or events outside our control may cause temporary downtime.

Your responsibilities

You’re solely responsible for the URLs you shorten and the content you encode into a QR code, including making sure you have the right to link to or share that content. You’re also responsible for how you distribute your short links and QR codes (print, digital, signage, etc.) and for their appropriateness in that context.

No warranty

Lumara Links is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumara and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Lumara Links — including damages arising from downtime, link unavailability, or third-party content reached through a short link.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
